Adelaide, the way a local sees it

Our award-winning small group walks go deep into the history, the food, the laneways, the legends and the stories Adelaide doesn't put on postcards. Led by locals who genuinely love this city

The Adelaide you won't find on a map

Adelaide has plenty of tour operators. What makes Flamboyance different is who’s doing the talking. Every guide is a born-and-raised Adelaide local, sharing the city they grew up in. Our founder trained as a journalist and has guided tours across the globe. That combination shows. We go beyond the landmarks into the history behind the history – contested stories and cultural context most tours skip.

Food is central to how we understand Adelaide. We taste our way through the Adelaide Central Market, hunt down fritz, frog cakes and Fruchocs on The F Factor, and unpack why Adelaide’s wine culture is genuinely unlike anywhere else in Australia.

Gold winner at the 2025 South Australian Tourism Awards and 2026 Adelaide Fringe. Guests from 30+ nations. We’re here to help you understand Adelaide – not just see it.

We had no idea where to find Mall's Balls in Adelaide on Rundell Street but we finally managed to get there and meet the lovely Kat - after a full explanation of the stainless steel balls and the gorgeous old mall we were off on our walking tour of Adelaide - first time visitors! And it was a wonderful 3 hours spent learning all about Adelaide from Kat including going into small little lanes to admire street art! Would highly recommend!

We chose Flamboyance Tours' Adelaide Central Market Tour for our EOFY staff event, and it was the perfect choice. We had a group of 60 people, and everything was incredibly well organised and ran seamlessly from start to finish.

The tour was informative, engaging, and a fantastic team experience. Even though many of us have visited the Adelaide Central Market numerous times, we all discovered stalls we hadn't been to before and learnt interesting facts about the market and its history that we never knew.

It was a fun and relaxed way to celebrate the end of the financial year while exploring one of Adelaide's iconic destinations. Thank you to the Flamboyance Tours team for delivering such a memorable experience. We would highly recommend this tour to both visitors and locals alike—it's a fantastic way to discover new stalls, learn something new, and appreciate the Adelaide Central Market in a whole new way. It's also an excellent choice for corporate groups and team events.

Thank you so much to Andrea and your team for a great strolling with you thru streets and lanes of CBD where Wonderful street Art lives. Also it is an absolutely astonishing murals art of a talented Jimmy C. and his friends. They are highly recommended to see. Plus, the cup cakes and a huge choice of unseen variety of ice creams are were a Lovely reward on our stops.

It was a joy to participate in Katina's historic tour of Hutt Street in Adelaide. Her sharing of interesting historical information with her friendly and inclusive approach made this a tour which we wished we had done sooner! Loved that she shared links after the tour where we could delve deeper into the historic story of this interesting and vibrant precinct. Highly recommend Katina as a leader of tours worth your time.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Katina, who took us on an amazing walking tour around the Adelaide CBD and the Central Market. From start to finish, she was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and professional, bringing the city’s history, culture, and hidden gems to life in such an engaging way.

Her passion for Adelaide was infectious — she shared fascinating stories, local insights, and food recommendations that really made us feel like we were exploring the city with a friend who knows all its secrets. The Central Market tour was a particular highlight; Katina’s connections with local stallholders and her deep knowledge of South Australia’s food scene made it a truly memorable and delicious experience.

We can’t recommend Katina’s tours highly enough — fun, informative, and full of personality. If you want to see Adelaide through the eyes of a true local expert, this is the tour to book!
The amount of knowledge, history and information she was able to share with us was phenomenal. I highly recommend Katina and her guide services as a MUST DO if you are new to the city or if you want to know a bit about the place! Was seriously like catching up with an old friend for a drink.
