It’s not a lot of time, so what you fit in is crucial!
To get the most out of Adelaide in one day, sticking around the city centre is the way to go. We recommend the following to create a great day for your best Adelaide experience.
Have breakfast at the Adelaide Central Market, open Tuesday-Saturday. Go for shakshuka at Le Souk, or generous dishes at Zuma Caffe. It’s always quieter in the morning, so spend an hour or two exploring at your own pace.
Then come on a tour with us of course! We have the Welcome To Adelaide tour from Monday to Saturday for those not acquainted with the city (finishing at the market if you’d prefer to spend your lunch time there), or organise a private tour at a time convenient to you.
Head to Rundle Mall for shopping and exploring Adelaide Arcade’s niche outlets, and grab a bite for lunch. For something light, head to Rundle Mall Plaza‘s upstairs food court for varied options. Katina also loves Borsa Pasta Cucina off nearby Grenfell Street for its authentic decor, great customer service and amazing pasta made on the premises.
Spend the afternoon along the North Terrace cultural precinct. You have AGSA (our art gallery), the SA Museum and the amazing Botanic Gardens along our major boulevard in short walking distance.
To cap off the day, head to the hip East End precinct for dinner and a drink. Lemongrass Thai Bistro is always a winner, while spots like Brklyn offer American-inspired small bites with great cocktails and balcony views over Rundle Street.
