If you’re a huge foodie, or want a different look into Adelaide culture, this food history tour is for you. Join the original tour featuring South Australia’s food icons!
What are Fruchocs? What is fritz? A frog cake? Find out as you join us for our two-hour Adelaide food tour around the city centre, where you will discover the local meats and sweets of South Australia. As we detail the history of these locally made products, you’ll taste the city’s best chocolate, nuts, and iced coffee, plus oddities we grow up eating in Adelaide: a frog cake and some fritz. Finally, lunch will be provided from within the market at a popular bakery (a meat pie/pasty etc of your choice). You’ll take away a surprise dessert plus extra goodies to continue your Adelaide food journey.
This tour is particularly suited for sweet-tooths, as a fun, unique Adelaide tour about the city’s love for quirky food. Tours are taken by a born-and-raised local Adelaide foodie as your guide, with a small group maximum of 10 people (average four). Walk away with a different look to Adelaide past the tags of Radelaide or the City of Churches, and be sure to bring a shopping bag as you’ll have time to make purchases at our stops.

*Bookings are essential and close 24 hours prior to the event.
*Dietary requirements: vegetarians – please confirm and choose your lunch option when booking. Unfortunately this is not suitable for gluten free or vegan requirements. One pork/beef product is included.
*For child bookings, iced coffee will be substituted for a flavoured milk or juice unless requested otherwise.
*Wednesday is an optional trading day at the Central Market. This tour is not affected, but please keep in mind not all stalls are open to explore afterwards on this day of the week.
*If there is only one person booked, we have the right to reschedule or cancel the tour.
*For private tours, we offer portable listening devices for those D/deaf or hard of hearing; earpieces or portable hearing loops for T-coil hearing aids. Please select these on booking, or contact us for more information.
